(have no clue what this was, but enjoyed it thoroughly)(was that the voice of Keira Knightley? did I recognise her lisp?)(who was Caroline and why didn't she dye her pubes - or get a Brazilian?)(and she really ought to have waxed not shaved, then those annoying men would have slipped off)(is this from a film?)(do I not get out enough?)(is it from a TV show?)(do I not immerse myself sufficiently in mainstream culture?)(why has this provoked so many questions and yet not a single answer?)(where can I get hold of some of those balloons?)(is this why when I did the test - personality age thingy - at Dave's this morning I came out as scarily old, because I couldn't answer the TV question properly because I have never seen any of the shows)(shall I stop asking non-sensical questions now?)(will anyone answer them anyhow?)(sometimes it is the opportunity to ask the question that counts, not the expectation of receiving an answer that is important)
(never got to grips with that html stuff personally, dozed off in the lesson - will add you to my list of "blogs you can't get to from ILTV because I wasn't paying attention in class")
See, ILTV, this is why I thought you lived in France, and so weren't up to date with British culture.
Personally, I got bored with Green Wing halfway through the second series, and didn't bother to watch the Christmas special, from which I believe this clip comes (I dabble in enough of our culture to understand references from those amongst whom I work - and can slip them into sermons).
My ready boredom is due to the stress of the last 12 months, and needs dealing with.
Of course, to watch it here in the US (legally - and since I work in computer security I have to be legal!), I had to buy the DVD from Amazon.co.uk, so I got all the extras. Which I highly recommend. You get to see good ol' bluecat and bearded lady strut they stuff, too.
I've never watched Green Wing either - never even heard of it until I read about it on Realdoc's. But, ILTV, even though I didn't know those programmes on Dave's age quizz thingy (I missed out that question) I still came out in my 20s ::gloats::
O hello mango person by the way - am just going to read all your posts :) first of all to see whether your XX or XY
what! there is more than one ending? isn't this a little like The French Leuitenant's Woman*? (where is that double O person when you need a literary expert?)
ILTV - it's only a TV show. One that seems to have bypassed some peoples' critical faculty and gone straight for the funny bone, but nevertheless. Oh, and Stephen Mangan. Oh, and, in your ramblings through blogworld, you may come across http://www.jamesandthebluecat.blogspot.com/. He is, in part, responsible for the screaming hysteria that is Green Wing. His blog can occasionally be quite amusing.
And no, Valerie, I do not yet have the DVD. I intend to wait until the lot is out in one perfect package, and then stay in for a week and swallow it whole. (Also, right now SO and I are submerged in West Wing 7, and don't expect to come up for air for about another week.)
Ziggi, hello. I typed that in a pleasantly light and ambiguously high tenor.
Realdoc - the ending I wanted was the one where Guy Secretan spots ME in the crowd, decides to put a lifetime of safe choices behind him, and starts boning up mediaeval seige-engineering. Entendre so intended.

Sorry Green Wing lovers.
how wonderful
a conversation with Dave on someone else's blog!!
(scuse me Mango person while I continue for a short while)
do you know, I have never seen an episode of Green Wing
what a heathen
it's not that I am proud of it, or not proud of it - I just can't believe that everyone seems to know what is going on and I don't
something to do with spending a huge amount of time in the kitchen chain smoking, I suspect
and I missed the Vicar of Dibley xmas special (altho I have just seen a rather good re-run of Porridge)
mind you, I am doing a lot more ironing than I used to
ho hum
(OK, I've gone on long enough now. . .)
*seriously considering a move to France*
You must not have the DVD, Mangs?
