Word of Mouth

Well how about this then. Threshers is making this offer, good until mid-December, and they're not telling anybody about it. It was let loose on some blog somewhere (I'm going to try and find out where and when I do I will be sure and let you know - if you get there before me please tell me!) and now they're sitting back and seeing what happens. I'd love a look at the stats they will collate.

Are you planning on stocking up on booze for the winter, then? Sounds like a bloody good deal.

Too bad I'm on the wrong side of the Atlantic for this to be very useful...

Every time we run low on booze, which is about four times a year, we go out to our local alcoholic superstore, Beverages and More, and spend something like $US 500. It's freaky. And this isn't counting the fact that we belong to two wine-of-the-month clubs.

I barely drink. I like to talk about it, but I tend to forget to do it. The explanation for all this crazed spending has to be the fact that I live with an Australian.

Well isn't the above comment from 'Andrew' clever! It may or may not be a real person, as the link takes you to a wine producer which retails through Threshers. Presumably there is a piece of software trawling blogword for references to the voucher and someone is then posting this 'adver-comment'.

The site does have a recipe for braised shoulder of lamb which sounds quite delicious though.

Valerie - unless I miss my guess, that sounds to me like an average of a bottle of wine every two days. With so much press about the health benefits of red wine (is there any other sort?) I don't think it's crazed spending, I think Oz-man is taking sensible safety precautions. Drink - It's irresponsible not to.

BiB - I am being inundated by Significant Other's family this Christmas. You bet I'm stocking up on booze.
